So what's the youngest you've known a GREAT Grandma to be?

My step dad's ex wife is 57 and just became a GREAT Grandmother. That's so crazy to me. She got pregnant as a teen, her DD got pregnant as a teen, and her Granddaughter got pregnant as a teen. YIKES!!

She did have a boy. Anything my son grows out of I am giving right to her. :) :)

  • My husband and I did the math that if his oldest gets pregnant the same age as her mom did (15) He would be 31 and a grandpa and I would be 27 would a step-granddaughter. And if that one has a baby at 15 then he would be 46 and I would be 42. So we quite possible have a chance at knowing our great-great-grandkids.o

  • 46. She had her kid at 15, he got another girl pregnant when he was 15 (making her 30) and her granddaughter got pregnant at 15, making the lady a grandma at 30 and a great grandma at 46 just after her b-day. Crazy!

  • A former co-worker was somewhere in her 40s - I never asked her outright how old she was but now she's right around 60 and is a great-great-grandma (just saw her a couple days ago and caught up a little)! Ack! If our oldest neice had followed her mom & grandma my MIL would have been a great-grandma at 60. My cousin was a grandma at 36...her oldest grandchild is only 8 yet though so we'll see...!

  • um, one of my aunts became a great grandma about 5years ago (?not exactly sure, 4-5) and she's not that old, probably early 60s i guess, she definately doesn't LOOK or act that old! lol
my oldest daughter was the first great grandchild on my dad's whole side of the family (we have a BIG family) and my grandma was already in her 70s.

  • If a girl gets pregnant at 13 and her daughter (or son) has a baby at 13, who has a baby at 13, 39 is the youngest that great-grandmother can be.

    Fun idea, hey?
