  • Let her play with whatever she wants. It won't hurt her to play with "boy" toys.

  • Does she need to?

Not all girls on the planet play with dolls, nor should they. Just as not all boys on the planet play with...whatever universally 'boy' toy there supposedly is. She wants to play with the toys she sees her brother playing with, largely because people learn most of their through watching others, and she wants to be with him because she loves him and its simplest to engage in similar activities.

She isn't going to turn into a boy, or a lesbian, because she doesn't play with dolls. If she's never seen anyone handling a baby in real life, she doesn't have any inborn desire to mimic that. Doesn't even mean she won't have kids when she grows up.

  • My 1.5 year old son is obsessed with shoes. But who cares he is one. It really is not a big deal. Go with the flow. ;)

  • Maybe, Maybe not. Right now shes wanting to do what her brother is doing, because she sees them doing it all the time. Its normal. She'll grow out of it. & even if she doesn't so what. Some girls aren't meant to be "girly" girls

  • Who knows. Some girls don't like to play with girlie toys. My son used to love to play with his sisters toys. He's 6 now and doesn't like girl toys.

  • She might. Each person and each child is different. My sister never liked "girl toys" my aunt on the other hand grew in to them later... It will depend on the kid... No one can guess.

  • My oldest daughter didn't play with dolls at all, and my youngest daughter shows no interest in them right now, she'd rather play with her mega blocks.

  • She may or may not. I have a niece, only child & 6.5 years old, who loves sports and has a huge poster of a hockey player in her room. Not a "girlie" girl at all. Don't know if she ever will be!
