WHY????

Why won't Obama release his Campaign Finance Reports to the public?

It IS the public's right to know where his funds come from .. it sure doesn't make him look good to hide it! McCain's are public .. I want to see Obama's too.

I am not sure who to vote for yet, but I want ALL my facts before I make my vote!

  • Candidates are not required to post donations that amount to less than $200. McCain has opted to make all donations public, including those under $200. Obama has opted to keep that information private. He is not breaking any laws, but he is also not fully disclosing where his donations are coming from.

  • No, I don't mean contributions HE has GIVEN .. I mean ones he has accepted!

I just read a report that Bob Biersack from the FEC said, Obama campaign has steadfastly refused to make information public. I can't understand why, and it makes me even more curious being as he keeps refusing! I like to hear him speak, but I don't want any secrets from someone I could vote for.

I want to know everything I can from BOTH sides and contributions being legal is an important issue. Don't ya think?

I understand it isn't breaking laws, I just don't understand why you would hide something that could bring question ... If you have nothing to hide, then don't. I for one want to know!

  • To Anon, from my understanding the theory behind why he isn't making his donations public is because they are likely not to be legal donations. Presidential candidates are not supposed to take international donations, but not all of them prevent that from happening. I know its currently under investigation.
