she hits her head ALL THE TIME!

on purpose! my daughter is 18 months old and loves hitting her head on things-from head-butting me, to the wall. just yesterday, she was hitting her head with rocks! i don't know what to do. is this normal? all she does is laugh when it's happening, but what if she goes overboard and hurts herself really bad? i ask her if it hurts, and she shakes her head "no". kinda confused!

  • some times babies do that to self suth.. i know a baby will just sit on the floor and bang his had til he feels better. as long as she isn't making her self bleed or leaving bursies i think it is fine. kids will be kids.

  • My oldest dd used to do that...she'd do it when playing but also when mad...she's 26 years old now, and all that head banging didn't seem to effect her....or maybe that could answer alot of questions as to why she does some of the things she does's perfectly normal now, and even has a dd now that acts just like she did!!!
