What sort of etiquette is there for a Tea Party?

My daughter who is in Kindergarten got invited to her first tea party. I've never been to one and I don't know what I should do aside from RSVP. Do I bring a present? Do we dress nice or casual? I know I'm clueless, lol please help!!
(I don't even know what category this should be under. LOL)

  • Well, If it's not a birthday party I would guess no gift is required. My understanding is it is usually 'church' clothes. A sundress and saddles would be fine. I bet you see and array of dress. If nothing else when you RSVP add a quick note regarding your concerns.

  • All the tea parties we've been to have been formal or as formal as little kids can be. She wore her dressy clothes and church shoes.

  • Yeah, no gift unless it's a birthday. :) Just put her in a cute dress and maybe a hat. Nothing too fancy but not play clothes.
