  • What are some things that she knows how to do, does she know her colors, shapes, can she count, things like that?

What things is she doing that is making you think that she is behind?

  • Dont be one of those moms that push a kid to grow up too fast. HECK, my 5 and 7 year old still watch Yo Gabba Gabba from time to time...I dont mind! I like it better than sponge bob!!!

Guess what she is 4 she is immature....she is SUPPOSE to be immature she is still a very small child.

Is she speaking ok? Seem physically normal? No odd behaviors? Then she is probably fine!

  • Here is a link to a GREAT list of milestones and stages for a 4 yr old. :)

  • You can have her evaluated by her doctor, early intervention, or your local school district, and the school will test her for free, since she is so close to kindergarten age.

  • Its better to be concerned & reach out then just shrug it off :-)
But look at a milestone website & see how she is doing against that. What she is interested in (like cartoons) are really not a big concern. Its really how is she talking? communicating? how does she play with others? What do you mean by "acting 2".. 2yo have really bad communication, are only taking in 2-3 word sentences..
If it really is bothering you then go see your pediatrician for advice.

  • At your well check to the pedi's office they SHOULD be checking to see if your DD is at a normal level of developement (physically, emotionally, mentally, etc.) She is still very young though and I'm not entirely sure what you mean by '2 yr old behaviour'.
