Anyone know what this might be??

*Yes, I'm calling the pediatrician tomorrow.Just want to know if anyone on here might know what this is.Thankyou for your input in advance :) *

My 18 month old daughter developed a rash on her back 2 nights ago.Its mainly on her lower back..on the sides. There are a few scattered going up her back, but not many. They are mainly on lower back. There are about 40 bumps in all.Checking it out tonight we noticed that the bumps are beginning to look almost like they are fluid filled. They are raised. Some are hanging out by themselves, some are clumped together. No fever. No rash anywhere else.No changes in diet.No new soaps,no new laundry detergent. We've done nothing new.I have to say, I've worked with kids for a long time, and in hospitals.I havent seen anything quite like this.It almost looks like a chicken pox but its not.I even thought bed bugs, but we dont have any.Its not spreading. But its not going away either.Any ideas???<

  • Has she had any vaccinations lately? 2 weeks after my daughter got her shots at 18 months she got the measels. They were exactly like you described and there really isn't much you can do but give her benedryl for itching if she has any and give her a lukewarm bath a few times a day. They can last from 5-14 days. I could always be wrong so please be sure to ask her dr, but it sounds EXACTLY like what my daughters symptoms were. GL and hope this helps :)

  • I wish I knew, but you might want to try WebMD or somethinglike that and check those symptoms to see what comes up. I hope all is well!

  • sounds like skin tags. My lil boy had them under his arm and down the same side, I brought him to the doctor and they told me there is meds for it but the adverse reactions are not worth giving him the meds.

  • We were told that if your kiddo does get Cpox even though they had the vaccine it is common for them to look "atypical" but the upside is that there is generally no fever and they are not contagious

  • Maybe hives from the vaccines. Where you said they are, that made me think heat rash. I get is there all the time. But that is a bunch of tiny red bumps.
