How do you know that you have low potassium?

  • I know muscle aches is a symptom of low potassium, but other than a blood test I don't really know.

  • Someone told me I had low potassium because I would get a charlie horse at least once a day, sometime more.

  • muscle cramps (like cramp in your foot or calf) and restless leg syndrome are good indicators.

  • I agree restless legs and charlie horses, if i get these I eat a banana and usually I am better pretty quick

  • i went in anaphalactic shock(sp) they ddi a cbc on me and the doc told me i have a very low potassium
