  • Well, I'm pretty sure there's still some risk of "miscarriage" (though it does get slimmer) until the baby's viable... and even then there's still (though slim) some risk of "still birth" until the child is actually born.

    If I recall correctly (and I admit I haven't looked up those statistics in a couple years) is the chances of miscarriage drops significantly around 12 weeks.

  • Once you've passed the first trimester, you're generally "safe". This is why many people wait until after that period to tell people they're pregnant.

  • you are always at risk, but after the first trimester is does lower the chances but then again ive known few who have had still births and so always take care of your self and baby. That was the biggest thing to worry me I would hate to loose my baby at this stage. It would literally kill me. But if they thought anything was wrong to that extent im pretty sure they would try to figure something out. maybe even induce labor. not very sure on that part.

  • There really is no safe zone but i know what you mean. Once out of the first trimester, 13 weeks :)
