Church & Strippers protest each other, wanna read something funny?

WARSAW, Ohio – Strippers dressed in bikinis sunbathe in lawn chairs, their backs turned toward the gray clapboard church where men in ties and women in full-length skirts flock to Sunday morning services.

The strippers, fueled by Cheetos and nicotine, are protesting a fundamentalist Christian church whose Bible-brandishing congregants have picketed the club where they work. The dancers roll up with signs carrying messages adapted from Scripture, such as "Do unto others as you would have done unto you," to counter church members who for four years have photographed license plates of patrons and asked them if their mothers and wives know their whereabouts.

The dueling demonstrations play out in central Ohio, where nine miles of cornfields and Amish-buggy crossing signs separate The Fox Hole strip club from New Beginnings Ministries.

  • I've been a Christian 40 yrs. and have experienced so much CRAP from Christians and their religiosity and legalistic ways that it makes me sick! Jesus Christ is my love and life! HE WOULD NEVER DO WHAT THESE SO-CALLED CHRISTIANS ARE DOING! JESUS CAME TO SAVE THE 'WORLD!' What these so-called, self-righteous Christians doing to further the cause of Christ! By their ignorant, loveless, judgmental criticism of the strippers, NOT CARING ABOUT THEIR SOULS

  • Oh well. I guess they felt they had that right, as they felt. "Do unto others as you would have done to you." was a fair game attitude. Or maybe" Monkey see Monkey Do," which ever you prefer to use. or ". Paybacks are a Bitch could be another ". You just never know.

  • finish my answer: There is NOTHING righteous, or honoring of God, Jesus and Holy Spirit or the Word of God in what this so-called church is doing regarding these strippers! God loves those strippers! What did Jesus do with the woman thrown at His feet when caught in adultery? (And where was the jerk who was also CAUGHT IN ADULTERY WITH HER!) iT WAS A SET UP! And JESUS dealt with the precious woman in love and forgiveness and told her to go on and sin no more. BUT HE SURE DIDN'T CONDEMN HER! Wake up people who CALL THEMSELVES CHRISTIANS to the FACT that you are not behaving at all Christ-like when behaving in such manners as doing what you are doing regarding these strippers! You are supposed to be examples of Christ's love and reach out to these strippers with compassion! What kind of God must they think we love and serve? Start being conerned with your own motives and intents, clean up your lives! REPENT!

  • Wow! I agree with them when they said "you can't make anyone believe what you believe".... why not just live and let live? You know? Why does the church have to start with them when they could just leave them be? It sound as if some of the women DO believe in God, just not the hate filled church. :(
