Can anyone name one accomplishment Obama made while he was a US Senator? A Bill? Legislation?Anything?

I want to know what he has accomplished so I can trust that he will do good by the people....your record of accomplishment should mean something for your ability to get things done right???

  • Global Poverty Act (S.2433)- Passed by the Senate and the House last September.
    Legislative Transparency and Accountability Act (S. 230)- Passed January 2007
    Lugar-Obama Nonproliferation Legislation Signed into Law by the President

    (Those are just the one's he sponsored that passed in the 110th Congress, shall I go on?)

  • Sponsoring/cosponsoring in the US Senate is basically signing one's name/agreeing to support. It takes absolutely no effort nor does it indicate any accomplishment.

    Authoring and helping to pass a bill is an accomplishment, sponsoring is not. Co sponsoring is DEFINITELY not! And anything he's "sponsored" that actually passed are resolutions, not legislation!!! LOL!!!

  • Um....he took an aids test in Kenya...and um attended an Aids Summit then....um...made a great speech...oh yes...appeared on noprah and then...well gosh I know somewhere in there he helped Odinga...but hey...he is the HOPE for CHANGE~! Leave him be.

  • "Authoring" means your staff wrote it. (Actually with help of lobbyists.)

    Sponsoring means your staff added your name to it.

    Otherwise, in no case does it mean you had anything to do with it.
