  • Drag is dressed as a women but doesn't live that way, it's for show.

transvestite wears the clothes all the time but still has his parts.

transexual has made the switch and no longer has their original parts.

  • Transexual-- a person who has undergone medical and surgical procedures to alter external sexual characteristics to those of the opposite sex

Transvestite-- a person who seeks sexual pleasure from wearing clothes that are normally associated with the opposite sex

  • And NO, they are not all men.

I should have said...Drag wears opposite sex clothes for entertainment shows only.

  • A transsexual has gone through various medical procedures to change their outward appearance to the opposing gender. A transvestite habitually and regularly dresses in the clothing of the opposite gender and *may* in some cases derive sexual excitement from doing so. A drag queen is usually a man who dresses, and usually acts, like a caricature woman often for the purpose of entertaining or performing.

  • Drag is a man who dresses up as a women, but doesn't want to change genders or be a women.
Transgendered is a man/women who changes genders.
And a Transvestite is technically the same as Drag, but may tend to act more as the gender they portray.

  • It's simple. A Transsexual is someone who's physical body is a different sex than their brain and hormone levels tell them they are. They can be male or female.

A Transgenders person is someone who has reassignment surgery or takes hormones (usually together) to change gender.

A Transvestite is a person who dresses in Drag (Drag is a way of dressing as the opposite sex). They may or may not be male, but we tend to see males as in Drag, more than women because it's not accepted that women can dress like men w/o being seen as an "alternative."
