Does it ever happen to you that people don't visit when the house is clean but come over when it's not?

So today i let the house go and my daughter brings over a friend she just met, her friend wanted to see the house...yipppeee...I am so not thrilled and of course if I would have spent the day making the house spotless, this friend would not have wanted to see the place.
