Does anyone know how to clean up the thing your not using on the computer?

  • sorry I hit enter too fast.. I'm thinking theres a way to go in and delete things that are not in use? But not the actual installed stuff.
    Anyone know what I'm talking about and how to do it?

  • Go to start, control panel and Programs and choose "uninstall a program". Of course this is assuming you are using Windows Vista:)

  • My advice above would be for programs that have been installed by you but you no longer want.

  • If you want to get rid of things that are on your computer just taking up space then you need to do a Disk Cleanup and then a Disk Defragmentation. That will clean up your hard drive and give you more room on your computer.

  • If you want clear out all the temporary crap, yes ~ run Disk Cleanup. You can go through your documents file and delete old files. You can compression the storage by running Defragmentation. If you want to get rid programs run add/remove programs and get rid of things you don't use.

  • Go to the start menu,
    then control panel,
    then disk clean up.

    follow the wizard.
    then go to the control panel, disk defragment.
