He, He, He, do you ever stop to think what about SHE?

If God is a male, and he made human beings in his image, then why do women give birth? Why doesnt the 66 bks in the bible talk about Jesus and his S/O or children? Why did God have to have a son and not a daughter? Why not both? Why no Female Goddess?

  • Because women were made as an extention of man. Men were created first in his image, then God created woman so man would not be lonely and could reproduce and populate the Earth. ..... Why is the sky blue and not Pink with purple polkadots? Why is a horse called a horse and a cow called a cow?.....something had to come first in order to set things in motion.....or my favorite saying of all! : "Everyone has to make a rough draft before they create a masterpiece." :)

  • Yeah, kinda. lol. But one of them had to come first, dangit. lol. And if we knew what it was, then we would wonder why not the other way and vice versa.

  • The Bible does not talk about Jesus and His S/O as you put it because Jesus was not married, nor did He have any children. If Jesus had been married, the Bible would have told us so, or there would be some unambiguous statement to that fact. Scripture would not be completely silent on such an important issue. The Bible mentions Jesus’ mother, adoptive father, half-brothers, and half-sisters. Why would it neglect to mention the fact that Jesus had a wife? Those who believe/teach that Jesus was married are doing so in an attempt to “humanize” Him, to make Him more ordinary, more like everyone else. People simply do not want to believe that Jesus was God in the flesh (John 1:1, 14; 10:30). So, they invent and believe myths about Jesus being married, having children, and being an ordinary human being.

  • and when the Bible talks about making man in His image, it is referring to the three parts of God and man. God is three parts; The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. Those three are one. Man has three parts as well; the body, the soul and the spirit. That is what it is referring to when it says that we are made in His image. I also agree with Kword. Women were created to be the help meet for the man. And the couple is given the command to go forth and multiply replenishing the earth. We know there are no female goddesses because the Bible tells us there is only ONE God. It always refers to God as being a HE, and a Father. Never a she, or a mother.

  • missionary, there is so much more to the bible than the 66 books that are left. The bible says that Jesus knew ALL temptation, but how could he if he wasnt even in a relationship? The bible talks about woman being made for man b/c he was lonely, so what about the most important man in Christianity? He doesnt get to have a partner? What about Gods order to mankind to be fruitfull upon the earth?

  • Well I don't see what the deal is hear. Pretty cut and dry in Genesis it says woman was made from Adams rib. Man was here first? Wether or not there is more bible that's what it says. The bible referrs to God as male. Jesus was human so he was subjected to human temptation. Why do you think a man needs to be in a relationship with a woman to be tried by temtptation. Temptaition is a broad horizon!! What are you getting at anyway?

  • sorry typo "here" lol

  • It is because of the time in which the Bible was written. Man was in charge (like he has been for much of history). He wanted an excuse to keep woman down and what is a better excuse than religion? Plus, women had no rights. So why would God send a daughter when she would have no rights and not be taken seriously by anyone?
