How long after a miscarriage will a pregnancy test show as positive?

  • That depends on the miscarriage. For some people the body passes the tissue without hesitation and the HCG levels go back down quickly. Then some bodies don't pass the tissue at all and need intervention, and the HCG levels stay at the same level until the procedure has been completed. Then the body gets the idea and goes back into it's normal cycle. So it really depends on what type of miscarriage you have.

  • Not too long. As soon as you begin to miscarry your HCG levels will halve and continue to do so.
