  • My kids take a bath together, they are 5 and 3 and they have been doing this for well over a year, with the little one anyway. Sometimes my 5 year old likes to take a shower by herself, she's been doing that for about a year too. I always check on them though, but most of the bath they are by themselves.

  • My kids were all around 4-5 when they stayed in their by themselves. I would go back every few minutes to check on them and I would also make sure that the water wasn't more than 3 inches, if they laid down it wouldn't go over their head. They all take showers by themselves 5 year old I still set the water for her though but she has to wash "herself".

  • When we moved out of my MIL's house. She had just turned 5. I didn't trust some of the people in the house so she was never out of my sight. But since she was 3 she'd been doing it all alone. Now I just fill the tub since the knobs are stiff and hard to turn. Then turn her loose. :-)

  • I let my first start bathing by herself at about 1 1/2 or so. She's a tall child though and I checked frequently and listened in the whole time :)

  • By boys have been taking baths by themselves since they were 4, but I would always do a check because they were more focused on playing then cleaning themselves LoL. My 2 oldest (8&7) have recently started taking showers.

  • about a year & a half. Our apartment is not very big, so I am literally just feet away from her. Plus I call to her every minute or so.
