  • Think about some place that you enjoy. Say the beach. Visualize the breach, smell the sea air, feel the breeze, hear the surf, feel the soft sand and the warm sun. Relax into the sand. Your body feels heavy. Relax. Breathe in slowly, breathe out slowly. Relax your toes, your feet, your legs, your knees... work up your body relaxing each part in turn. Breathe in, breathe out.
Don't permit outside noises or any other noise or activity, including phone or text, to distract you. If you find your mind wandering, bring it back. You can set an alarm in another room if you like to limit the time. 15 minutes is good the first time you have your tiny vacation.

  • If able....sex....I've seen it on the list of things to do if your having or have problems with anxiety....Its the endorphines and hormones you release when you do it....it's supposed to make you happy. If your not able Try deep breathing lay down and rest your body and just mind over matter until it passes.
