Baby shower

I am going to host a baby shower for my dil. Finances are very tight for both of us. Any suggestions on how to through a good party inexpensively. We are holding it at the nearest park.

  • Have the shower after lunch, that way most people have eaten something for the day, and you can do more dips and fruit and stuff like that instead of feeding everyone a full meal. Having it at a park means you have little to decorate too, just being outside in a park is good, just make the tables really cute. I don't know if that help, but good luck and have fun!!

  • potluck it. have each guest bring a dish, and a card with it for the baby telling them what's in the dish. it's a good way to start a recipe book for the child, and a pretty cute baby page or two in the book. just put blankets on the ground and have a beach blanket baby shower. um, games wise you can play the "baby" game. where you give each person a safety pin and when someone says baby they loss a pin if someone catches them. the one at the end of the day with the most pins wins. or the toilet paper baby game is where you have the guests take the roll of toilet paper and see who comes closer. food, games, seating. hmm, that's all i can think of, oh make sure you have a back up plan incase it rains. good luck! and happy baby shower
