German shepard question?

My friend has a 1 year old german shepard. The dog is so agressive. She has done everything right with socializing, classes, vet talks. Nothing helps. The dog will not try to go after them or young girls. As for ANY adult or boy she just wants to attack. Do you think this dog can ever be trusted. I know most likely, no. Just wondering if you have any further advice. The dog was bought from a breeder at 6 weeks old. No back ground poor treatment.

  • Sounds scary
May need to be put down before something bad happens. Sound like she has done her best.

  • She should call a professional. I don't see why there would be no hope, the dog isn't chasing everyone. Something is triggering her to do what she does.

  • No reputable breeder will let their pups go that young. They lose out on things they would learn from mom at that age. This does not mean there is no hope for this dog though. They should have a behaviorist come out and evaluate this dog and see what can be done before they do anything else

  • Most German Shepards do Not act this way- There has to be something else going on; your friend needs to get someone like the guy on Dog Whisper to come and evaluate him- They are very smart & usually do everything they can to please their owner- There is Always Hope!

  • one thing I did not mention is that they should have bloodwork done because there are medical conditions that can cause this behavior
