This is probably a silly question...

but my son is getting his circumcision on Monday and they told me to bring sugar water. Do you buy it or do you just mix sugar with water? LOL

  • You can mix the water with the sugar, or you can go to your local hospital and ask it they have any "Sweet-Ease"
It is essentially sugar water, we (the lab) use it to calm babies when we have to do a heel stick on them (if they start getting really loud and screaming at us - some babies just sleep through it!) It is meant to taste like breastmilk, and almost instantly calms them down.

If you opt to make your own sugar water, make sure that when you make it the water is hot, so that the sugar dissolves in the water and then let it cool. And make it to taste...It should be just about as sweet as sweet tea.

  • Oh, i forgot to mention, if you go to the hospital, make sure you are asking in the OB department, lol, not at the front desk cause they will have no idea what you are talking about.
