any ideas on how to make a pirate ship?

  • Go with the paper mache then - use a paper plate to form the hull of the ship, with a 2nd one cut to fit and form the back. Tape/glue that together as a base and reinforce it with the paper mache as you build it up. Use pencils or something to make the masts and paint it all once it dries.

  • Use a shoe box as the main structure, paper plates to form the two peaks at either end, thin dowel rods to form the masts, duct tape to make it all sturdy and paper mache over the whole thing once you have good sturdy bones. When it's dry and painted, add stickers for decor, and fabric squares to the masts for sails.
