I don't really care to hear the veracity of each other's postings, I just want to see what everyone is looking at. Go beat each other up three posts down or something like that.

I'm sorry, Lovin....I agree with you on just about every other political issue, but I just cannot support your position on this one. I don't need to read articles with views that only serve to pit one side against the other on the subject. I just think its wrong to build a NEW house of worship so close to Ground Zero where undoubtedly additional 9/11 human remains WILL be found when they start renovations.
But since you want an article...here is one that I think reflects the core issue. And if/when this issue can be resolved (which I doubt), this "Muslim community center," will forever serve as a painful reminder to friends, families, and colleagues of 9/11 victims.

She runs a hate site called "Stop Islamization of America" and used it to take out anti-Islam ads on NYC busses:
http://sioaonline.com/ (won't make that clickable, venture at your own risk)
She's also recognized as a known hatemonger and darling of the white power movement (ironic since she's ethnically Jewish):
And then there's the other side's main source of hate and info, Pam Geller, who is the modern equivalent of a holocaust denier, insisting that the warcrimes of the Bosnian war didn't happen (because Muslims are evil and therefore can't be victims):

She is the one who originally brought the center to the attention of tabloids, Beck, etc. It wasn't getting negative press until then, only positive, even from FOX:
