I just changed the formula we are feeding our 12 week old from Simalac Advance to Simalac Alimentum. She seems to be adjusting well to it, however, it is now basically impossible to get a burp out of her. I'm wondering if it's b/c there are absolutely no bubbles in the bottle when I make it, hence less air for her...or is she just reacting differently to a new formula?

  • All my boys have been on Nutramigen - which is basically the sister formula to Alimentum - and since the formula is already predigested we didn't get nearly the burps and spit ups after using it. The babies are just more comfortable and their tiny digestive systems don't have to work as hard.
