  • Yep. My brother. I could only take his tantrums, his temper, his selfishness, his anger so long. And his "poor poor me, I was arrested again, wanna hear how this one wasn't my fault either?" routine.
He's due to be released from jail, again, next week and will be living with my mom. So he's not totally cut off, I'll still have to see him when I'm there, but I don't have to talk to him, and there is nothing wrong with me leaving the room when he comes in.
When my 5 year old was just a couple months old, someone he owed money to for random drugs called me to get it and said "I want my money or I'll gut your baby". Dumbass didn't block the number, I knew who it was and why. That's when I cut contact. My brother told him to call, thinking I'd pay his debt to keep my kid safe. I just sent a friend out to show them both it wouldn't happen that way.

  • My two best friends since kindergarten...They chose to go a way that I wasn't willing to go. I have more important things to do in my life than screw around, sleep with EVERYONE, and bum off of people. Funny how people change so much

  • Eek, I don't blame you on that one. I can't think of anyone I've disowned.

  • I disowned my sister in 2006. I haven't talked to her since. After I was finally done dealing with her crap, a few other family members disowned her as well.

  • Yep. Ex-bestfriend. She ditched everyone when she took up with some old geezer about 20 years older than her because he is loaded. I don't care to have such shallow people in my life. (Not to mention she left her husband who has MS for this guy!)

  • Yes. My brothers, sisters, and parents. My sister stole my identity 2x, brothers covered it up, and parents covered it up, took her side, and helped her avoid jail time, any re-payment, etc.

  • Yes...

So far my "dad," my "step dad," two uncles, an aunt, and a cousin...

Friends I don't see as being "disowned" just removed from my life and there have been many!
