  • I always dress for comfort

  • Christmas morning is comfy clothes or pjs. Christmas day is spent at my MIL's and I made the mistake of dressing up the first year (we always dis in my family) and most of his family was in grungy sweats or old clothes. Thanksgiving is also spent with his family so it's the same "dress code". I wear comfortable clothes, but we still don't look like we fit in. For Easter we wear our church clothes and for dates it depends on what we are doing but I do dress up once in a while. Birthday parties are usually kid parties that I've planned so dress is comfy for that too. (c:

  • I'll answer this question by what I would wear with my side of the family first and then his side of the family....

    A birthday party- Comfortable/Dressy
    Christmas morning- PJ's/Dressy
    Thanksgiving - Comfortable/Dressy
    Easter - Comfortable/Dressy
    Dates -HA! Good one!

My family is more laid back, so we don't care what you are could come in a burlap bag for all they care, as long as you are there and having a good time, who cares what clothes you are wearing.

As for his family....ugh. I hate dressing up. Enough said.

Have at least one pair of nice jeans that go good with heels and you should be fine. You can dress them up or down depending on the top. And then just kick off the heels and enjoy your family. :)
