  • Yep...since teens and pre-teens reproductive systems are not fully mature, it's normal for them to have short or long periods, long or short cycles, even go months without a period.

Our bodies don't fully mature until LATE teens and even into our 20's. so many moms put their kids on birth control because they have strange cycles. It's not that their cycles are strange, it's that they are mature to have a regular one yet.

  • yes.

  • yes that is totally normal. as her body is adjusting to cycles it is not uncommon for her cycles to be off by a day or a few days. Sometimes it will come even before or even later then when she is actually due. Her body will adjust in time and if she is active and plays in hard sports it can even be irregular. It is nothing to worry about BUT if she happens to worry and wants to know what is really going on, schedule her an appt with her doctor. BTW now is the perfect time to introduce her to a GYN =)

  • yup normal, she might also get a very heavy one occasionally - normal also, her body is only just starting to figure out how to make all these hormones and in what quantities and order, also normal to skip for a few months.
