Would you give a homeless person CPR if they were dying?

  • I would. I am a 911 operator and we are certified every year in CPR. They do teach us the method with ventilations. But compressions only is also acceptable. It has been proven that compression only CPR is effective in sustaining blood flow until emergency management personnel arrive in some cases. It can be very tiring doing CPR either way but it is recommended that if someone is available to assist that you take turns with the compressions until help arrives.

  • Yes, because they are human. & If I had a chance to save them, then sure... but i wouldn't go straight to mouth, Id have something to cover it, like I was taught in school.

  • they dont teach mouth to mouth anymore? i need to do a cpr class again... yes i would they are a person just like anyone else. and if i know cpr than it is my duty to help.
