Do you ever forget about laundry in the washing machine?

Ugh. Just went downstairs to start laundry and found that I'd left a load of sheets in there - from Friday. I hate having to re-wash clothes.

  • Ugh. I do that too. I found that I have to dry them and then rewash or they still smell stale though.

  • Doesn't everyone do this at some point, lol? I am like you though, it always makes me mad when I do it!

  • i get busy and sidetracked and will remember hours later or the next morning. If it has only been over night just start a rinse cycle and pour in 1/4 cup of vinegar, it works like a charm and you save the water and detergent :)

  • I've never forgotten them long enough to require rewashing thankfully, but sometimes I do forget them for a few hours. It's especially annoying when it's something I needed, like if I forget the bedsheets are in there, and I go up to get in bed and realize I never put the sheets in the dryer.

  • Yes and for the dryer too. I've been doing it a lot these past couple of weeks and it's starting to get to me and yet I still forget. I got fed up when I couldn't even remember when I had washed the clothes that were in the washer so just tossed them in the dryer without re-washing them. Even my husband has begun to help me and remind me when I've left something in there. He probably thinks I'm losing my mind.

  • No, but usually I leave them in the dryer for at least 3 days. Unless someone else brings them to me.

  • So glad to know I am not the only one.
