If your child asks you "if you tried drugs", what would you say? adult content

My 14yo just asked me and I found myself suddenly tongue tied. I always thought I would say the truth, but I was unprepared to answer.

What did or would you say?

  • I would tell my child/ren NO I have never tried drugs, because that is the truth. I don't find the need to harm myself.

  • I told my son the truth. I told him what I've tried, what my experiences where, why I tried what I tried...ect...ect..

There was no reason in my mind to lie, or sugar coat the truth.
