  • all the time if they don't start to sing to themselves i know that it is going to be a really long night for both of us and i really love to hear my baby sing herself to sleep!!

  • This happened with each of my children. I usually ended up sitting on the ends of beds till they fell asleep.

  • my 4yo does that. she'll keep saying "good night" to her stuffed animals & will get up to fix her blanket. i swear it's almost like she has kiddy-OCD. her blanket needs to be perfectly symmetrical over her bed before she can fall asleep.

  • My son is almost 15 months and when he goes to bed he will sing the Barney song, "I love you" and roll all over the crib.... he is the most active sleeper lol

  • I thought all kids did that!

My kids did when they were younger and they are teens now (15 & 17). I think it is a matter of your kids finding a way to fall asleep.

  • My son used to do that. He used to talk, play, and laugh himself to sleep.

  • My DD is 3 and sometimes she'll sing and make shadow puppets in her nightlite. Most recently, she's been pretending that she's going to throw up in order to get DH and I to come in. She was sick a week ago, threw up, and I guess we overreacted.
