  • Thanksgiving we do turkey and usually ham as well. Strictly because we feed so many big eaters it is hard to get that much turkey. However, this year I am doing Thanksgiving by myself instead of helping my mother or my MIL cook. So it may be a little different this year.

  • smoked turkey, cornbread dressings ( i trick it up every year; the family never knows whats different. just that there's plenty to go around.), various veggie dishes, tons homemade yeast rolls, cranberry salad (i trick that one, too.), pumpkin/pecan/apple pies, pumpkin rolls..and lots of napkins!
no one in my family drinks, so there's no alcohol..unless you're at my house during the prepwork. :))

  • Turkey (of course), a ham (people ususally just pick at it during appetizers all the way through to dinner, too), stuffing made with bread, sausage, mushrooms, onions and chicken gizzards. It is DELISH, candies sweet potatoes, fried corn, mashed pototes, brussel sprouts, carrots and a nice salad.

  • If it's at my house: turkey, sausage dressing, mashed potato casserole, another vegetable, and rolls. Dessert varies each year.

  • What is cream corn casserole?

Answer by Mom1Stepmom1 at 10:28 AM on Aug. 31, 2010

  • Turkey, ham, cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, macaroni and cheese, rolls, deviled eggs, pecan pie, the rest of the sides and desserts vary. But, with my family we have some that don't like turkey and some that don't like ham, so we do one of each for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.

  • Usually turkey, shrimp cocktail (as an appetizer), stuffing, green bean casserole, corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, deviled eggs, this mandarin orange salad my mom makes, rolls, and different pies. I may be forgetting something, but this is the usual, lol. It sounds really good right now too!

  • Same as Christmas dinner. Turkey, ham, deviled eggs, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese (the good baked stuff!), rolls, green beans, baked beans, and a whole counter full of desserts. That's just what's off the top of my head. Hungry just thinking about it!
