  • Prunes will definately do the trick (baby food prunes NOT whole prunes.. LOL) ... Does your LO eat rice ceral?? Welll if s/he does then you could put a splash of apple juice in there with it... ( i dont give my dd juice on a regular basis , but if you do then diluted appled juice should do the trick as well) :)

  • WAPPP

    water, apricots, pears, plums, prunes

Real table fruit. Not jars and definitly not over processed gerber. Juice has too much sugar and no fiber.

Next, conquer the problem. Example: No rice cereal, its an overload of constipating iron. If she is still on jar food, stop, they don't have enough fiber. Stop cheese -- can be binding. Go all table food -- baby led solids

  • Oh one more thin, when she's trying to poop hold her in a "potty position" low squat, or get a baby bjorn potty so she can poop freely in a squat to help "open up" and let gravity help (yes, you can do this -- my 11mo has not been in diapers for over 2 months -- its part of elimination communication)

  • My ped. told me "P" fruits are good for constipation. Prunes, Pears, Peaches, etc. Not sure how accurate that is. I agree stop giving purees if you are, and switch to table foods. Cut them into itty bitty pieces. And quit giving rice cereal if you are. If you still have trouble, consult your ped.

I have also been told bananas are constipating.
