could i really be pregnant? I was also wondering how long can pregnancy hormones stay in your body after miscarriage?

I feel dumb asking this, but I took a pregnancy test and it came back positive. I'm not having any signs of pregnancy besides a missed period. Last month I had a horrible period and begining to wonder if it was a miscarriage.

  • You probably are pregnant. With my daughter, I didn't have any pregnancy symptoms. No fatigue, nausea, breast soreness, etc. Just took a pregnancy test two days after I missed my period and it was positive.

I don't think your hormone levels would still be up a month after a possible miscarriage, but I have heard that you're more fertile the first month after a miscarriage, so it can be easier to get pregnant right afterwards.

  • I figured I am pregnant because it has been ahwile since possible miscarriage. I honestly don't remember if there were any clots.

  • You're probably pregnant. I'm figuring that was a less than 5 week miscarriage (if it was one). At that point, your levels aren't very high yet, and they would have been decreasing since then. So it would be doubtful that they would still be high enough to make a test come back positive. After my 5 week miscarriage, my levels were down to essentially 4 days later. After my 11 week miscarriage with twins, I got pregnant again just over 3 weeks afterwards. You're very fertile immediately after a miscarriage.
