Do you buy your kids brand name clothes?

The Children's Place, Gymboree, Baby Gap? What do you do with them after they out grow them?

  • I will pop into one of those stores every so often and buy something brand name, brand new at full price. However, I tend to try to find the deals at discount clothing stores, or find them on clearance, even thrift stores or yardsales. I find a LOT of great brand name clothing at thrift stores,lol..I really have lucked out. I do buy off brand stuff too...but the quality doesnt seem as good as the name brand things.
Usually I bag them up and give away clothes that they've friends that have children a little younger than mine and once I even posted them up for free on craigslist..which I will NEVER do again,ugh...long story.
But this time around, weve decided to have a yardsale..whatever I don't sell in our sale, I'm going to have picked up by the GoodWill.

  • Only if they're on clearance or a really good price. I either give them to a friend who could use them or sell them on consignment if they're in good condition

  • I buy a lot of brand name clothing for my son at garage sales....and then when he outgrows them, we have a garage sale. It is far less expensive than buying them new.

  • I LOVE childrens place! Adjustable clothing that lasts long! Way cute too! And it isn't much more than target really.

  • My older kids do. I put them in a sack and donate them to a church in the next town that gives out free clothes. My 2 year old gets cheaper clothes well because he is a boy and finds every mess

  • Depends.. around tax time I may go to Old Navy, Burlington, Childrens Place and get them stuff, but because they are so young, Walmart does just fine. They grow out of them so quickly, I might as well go the cheap way. When my 5 year old out grows her clothes, I save them for my three year old & when my 3 year old outgrows her clothes I box them up for the baby girl I'm about to have.

  • I buy them at the thrift store :) Otherwise I cant bring myself to spend that much money unless it is a special outfit for easter or something.

  • Not so much for my 2 y/o son, but we do sometimes for my 11 y/o brother (we're raising him).. He likes "skater clothes" so we got him a few DC, Volcom, etc.. shirts for school this year. Just the shirts though. Theyre only like 15-20 per shirt, which isnt too bad I guess, lol. We usually give them to relatives that are near his age and size after he has outgrown them, unless theyre not in good shape, then we toss them.

  • Once in a while, as My little guy is only five & I can't see paying 49 dollars for a pair of gap jeans that will only fit him for a while....

if they have a great sale then I will, other wise I go to wal-mart, or Old Navy
