Do you think the Oklahoma City Civic Center should deny access to a group planning to perform a Satanic ritual there?

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Officials confirmed that the Oklahoma City Civic Center has been booked by a group proclaiming themselves to be Satanists.

The Church of the IV Majesties posted an event to meetup.com announcing a Satanic ritual to be performed at the Civic Center on Oct. 21.

  • No.. If they have booked it, paid for it, signed the contracts...etc..etc... Then why should their access to the Civic Center be denied.

Just because some people may not agree with why they have rented it, doesn't mean they shouldn't be able to.

  • If they allow other religious organizations, they should be forced to allow ALL religious organizations... There shouldn't be any picking and choosing between what is and isn't okay...

  • They can't deny access. I'm curious what they do in their "rituals".

I hate it when i read articles & there are obvious typo's...

  • No. Why should they? Just because it's not the accepted thing to do? If they allow one they should allow all. If they deny one they should deny all.

  • Equal rights, so the civic center can't legally deny them based on their religion. The atricle even stated that as long as tehy do not break any city ordinances or laws that the group has a right to hold thier meeting and "ritual" there.(Which probably simply consists of lighting candles during a group opening and closing "ceremony").

  • Cool
oh and Shaneagle... they are not a cult any more than Christianity... that is hateful that you would want them to be treated differently.

  • Whats the big deal? I am sure they have all sorts of Christian events and if you are going to allow one religion then you have to allow all of them.

  • i live in the OKC metro and have to say i am SHOCKED that the city is doing the right thing by allowing Satanists to have the event at the CC. usually our state govt goes out of its way to find legal ways out of stuff like this.

they have every right to book the arena and do whatever they want there so long as its legal.

  • Should add... No, they should not deny access...unless they are going to keep out every religion.
