When did you introduce the sippy cup?

My son is 5 months and I can't remember when we introduced it with my daughter.

  • FYI sippys are not good for tooth and jaw development. Cups with straws are far superior for development and they are easier to use as they do not need to be tipped. We started experimenting with straws around 6 months.

  • 9 months with meals or in the car. I don't "take" bottles away though. My older one kept his bedtime bottle until he was 16 months or so, but I think he was more after the snuggling/rocking. My younger one completely ditched the bottle on his own in favor of a sippy cut @ age 10 months.
