What should HE be taking?

Although we did conceive this past spring for the first time, it did take 9 years. He has a lower sperm count but, we did actually conceive. Are there any others out there with a hubby that has this issue and what were you advised to do to aid in better conception? Medications, treatments, diet?

  • Only thing I have heard for sure, is the man should wear boxers not breifs, too tight shorts can be a problem and to avoid hot tubs, sperm do not do well in the hot water.

  • Thank you. I have heard that too and he hasn't worn boxers since we began 'trying' 9 years ago. Also, the same for saunas, hot tubs, etc.

  • I don't know of anything he can take/do. My hubby had to have surgery to fix his low sperm count (he had a vericosile). have you been tested?

  • I remember reading somewhere that besides "good" diet foods (leafy greens, low fat, etc.), chocolate is good for guys. Not sure why, but it was on the list with all the other "shoulds".

  • He can take a men's multivitamin. Too much heat and friction on the testicles (like tight pants & briefs) can lower sperm count, as well as caffeine.

  • Maca is an excellent supplement to increase you and his libido, regulate your cycle, and increase his sperm count. As well, Royal Jelly. Hope this helps.

  • Can you buy Maca in a pill form or as a powder to add to water or juice? Would you be able to buy Maca or Royal Jelly at a healthfood store?
