No Period (STUPID MIRENA!!)

can i still be ovulating even if i dont get my period evrymonth? i got the mirena out so i havent got my period. but evry two weeks i get sore boobs for two weeks and discomfort in my ovories. could i still be realising eggs? lol

  • My dr said when I take it out...it could take 2 months before my period returns.

  • OP- FIRST MY DOC SAID COULD GET PREGO RIGHT AWAY AND IF 4 WEEKS AFTER I GOT IT OUT I MISSED MY PEIOD IT MEANT I WAS PREGGO I WENT TO C HER 4 WEEKS LATER THEN SHE SAID OH WELL IT COULD TAKE 6 MONTHS TO 1 YEAR TO JUST GET MY PERIOD BACK. I WAS PISSED SHE JUST TOLD ME TO KEEP TAKING TESTS BUT HELLO THEY ARENT FREE.

  • I do not have any experience with taking it out. I just put it in 2 weeks ago. I have no plans of more children.I bumped you...hoping other people will help.

  • Thank you my advice to you is if you change your mind about having kids take it out asap! i loved mirena but now i want another baby and im regretting not taking it out sooner.

  • Not sure about your case, but you can still ovulate even if you don't menstruate. Like during post partum and many women who breastfeed can still ovulate even though they don't have periods.

  • My friend didn't get her periods since April of last year.... and got pregnant in September. I think it can still happen if you don't have your period.
