My daughter is going into the third grade,what will she be learning about?

  • beginner multiplication and division, work on reading skills, science, social studies, current events, they may start doing book reports, continue spelling and language arts,

  • You should be given a list of everything they will be taught. In my state it is called the AKS or Academic Knowledge and Skills. Your state should have on posted online at the state education website and at your child's school site. You shoul also receive a hard copy.

  • go to your state's department of education website ... they will have info ... if you are in PA I could tell you what a 3rd grader learns but I'm pretty sure it varies by state

  • mine is learning about telling time. the first two weeks were reviews and soon they are suppose to "teach" her the times table. and they are trying to improve her classmates reading abilities. but they have only been in school for three weeks so we are waiting to see what happens.

  • multiplication, geometry, cursive writing, and refining her reading skills. Third grade is the last year she will learn how to read. From there on out, it's assumed they can read to learn.
