  • OOOHHHH, nnnooooo. She doesn't really like me. She never wanted a daughter. She only wanted sons. She always made it clear that she thought girls were too much trouble.

  • it's vice versa for me i was closer to my mom over a decade ago, and now we are not close at all. and the fact that my mom has some mental issues that she refuses to seek help for, has driven us apart. can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped.

  • She used to be but lately I think we've grown apart. I think it's because we have different views on life, plus I have a little resentment on how she raised me. I still love her though.

  • My mother and I were never really close as a teen. When I had my children, we became close. I never made a decision without running it by mom. She would get very mad when I didn't follow her advice, but it felt good to have an opinion of someone I really trusted. I feel sorry for you women who don't get along with your mother's. I would give almost anything to have just one more day with my mom.
