anyone know how to extract a dvd from a laptop?

The laptop is showing "no disk", trying to avoid taking it in
it is an ACER, ASPIRE 6930

  • Have you tried to push the disk button on the side. There should be a button.

  • Is it stuck? There should be a small hole in the DVD tray. Poke a paper clip in it and it should eject it.

  • Which would work unless you have a laptop like the one I just got that doesn't even have a tray. Mine is like my cd player in the car, where it just sucks it in. It took me 15 minutes to figure out how to eject it. Did you check the support forum for your make and model? They are usually quite helpful.

  • try turning off the computer and then turn it back on once its on try and pressing the little button it has so it can come out hope it works that happen tome the other dayand i kept pressing it and nothing happened so then i turned it off and then turned it back on and it worked

  • Go into my computer. Right click on the drive & click eject

  • Thank you all ! I don't have an eject button thats why I asked lol. I finally just go the idea to pull it open with my finger nail.
