Some people ragged on Romney for being a Morman.

Do you think being Mormon would/should keep someone from being elected President?

  • It shouldn't but I think it might.

  • I don't WANT to know a candidate's religion. Unless it involves human or animal sacrifice; in that case, you're out in my book. But otherwise, I don't care if you believe in God or Vishnu or Ahura-Mazda or Ameratsu-omikami or Buddha or the Great Spaghetti Monster or Brad Pitt. I care whether you can do the JOB.

Asking someone's religious beliefs is already illegal in job interviews. What is a campaign but one VERY LONG job interview?

  • Nope. But I remember the liberal media making his religion a H U G E deal.....

  • no,I don't think religious beliefs should be a factor in whether a person can do their job or not.

  • No, it shouldn't. A candidate's own personal religious beliefs shouldn't be a matter of public concern ever.

  • No, it shouldn't and I remember the media making a big deal too, grly.

  • No religion ,shouldn't have anything to do with being President.

  • I probably wouldn't vote for them, but constitutionally that wouldn't keep anyone from being elected president as long as they had the votes.

Answer by SabrinaBean at 3:34 PM on Sep. 1, 2010

  • Not as long as he could keep his personal beliefs out of the job, which is very difficult to do for anyone, but the president is scrutinized for it more than most other people. I probably wouldn't vote for a Mormon just because I disagree with the religion and would be afraid of their religion taking precedent over their duties, but I would still respect our President if he was a Mormon.

  • I don't think anyone really cares if hes a mormon, excepet misguided bible humpers like the westbro freaks.
