Welcome sign asks visitors to dress

modestly, to wear long skirts or pants, to use appropriate language, and to maintain gender separation. The community is largely made up of Hasidic Jews. Most visitors are respectful of this village, would YOU be? What do you think?

  • I would be respectful, because I always have the option of leaving if I don't like it.

  • Respect isn't too much to ask. It's a shame that there's such a lack of it in today's society.

  • I would avoid that place at all times or would be driving straight through it. Cause if anyone gave me a dirty look I'd be liable to say something they didn't like.

That part kinda confuses me, too. I understand the modest dress, and the language thing, but to not be encouraged to walk down the sidewalk with your hubby is a bit, well, not my thing.
