(Formula Question)

This sounds really stupid but..
..For the formula it says 1 scoop = 60ml of water, when you mix the formula do you put the water in first then the scoops of formula so it makes 70ml all together or is it suposed to add to 60 including the formula? Lol you know what I mean? I dont want her getting too much water or too much formula so Im a little confused..Thanks

• 60ml of water and then add the 1 scoop. You're right though, the wording IS confusing!

• Put the water in before you put the formula. If you put the formula in first then you won't be adding enough water.

• You put the water in first then add the formula....

• Don't worry about the mL. Just 1 scoop per 2 oz of water

• Thinking about it either way you do it, you are getting the same amount of water and formula. It shouldn't matter if you add the formula to the water, or vice verse..

• Water first, then formula. You wouldn't believe how many ppl don't know this. If you add the water last, you are not using enough water.

• water first and you can use the bottle to measure...then the formula...with displacement, you will be above the 2oz marker on the bottle....

the really wrong way is scoop in first and using the bottle to measure up to the 2oz..that is a stronger mix (more osmotic)..times that by 3 or 4 and you are really off (unless you have MD orders to mix the formula high cal).

• if baby gets constipated (sp?) try using the liquid formula powder can be hard on their little systems since it is really hard to mix up well and it clumps in their little systems!! just a thought!

• i agree with the others, ours you do the water, then add the powder, and it ends up being slightly more. ours we do 2 oz, and 1 scoop and it says on the package that then you will have about 2.2 oz
