How do you clean vinyl siding?

My vinyl siding has mildew growing on it and it needs to be washed. What are the types of soap I need and what type of brush should I buy? My home is a single story home that is 40 feet wide and 25 feet deep. It is a light gray color with white trim. The doors and shutters are done in a deep burgundy color. Any help will be most appreciated.

  • # Soft scrub brush with long handle and bucket
    # Laundry soap or dish soap
    # Hand-held sprayer
    # Garden hose with adjustable nozzle
    # Oxygen bleach or vinegar for mildew and mold (optional)

  • I would get a pressure washer and spray it down. Then clean the mold with bleach water

  • I agree with 2blondebabies....I think the Pressure washer is the best option. Then after you pressure wash it, clean the mold with bleach.
