What vitamins can I take while nursing to help w/ energy and slight depression?

I'm afraid to take any prescription meds for depression. I have not had any luck with several different ones. I don't take any vitamins and I was wondering what natural remedies or vitamins I could take for a "pick me up"

  • Prenatals are still good for you at this point. Also, natural vitamin D (from outdoor activities) can also do wonders.

  • L-Trytophan is a amino acid that helps make serotonin which is the "feel good" chemical in our brains. It helps to control.. moods, sleep, sex drive, and many other things in our brain. Check with a doctor before taking this but it has sure helped me with my anxiety and depression.
