my one year old ate dilly bar and then got red marks on either sides of her mouth

she at a dilly bar and had been sucking on it and after she ate it i noticed there was two big white marks on either side of her mouth that looks red around the edges but looked more like whelts.they where gone yesterday,then today when she woke up she had two red marks on either side of her mouth in the same place ,im wondering if it is a form of frost bite from the ice cream touching her skin for to long or if any one else has had this problem.if it goes away an how long it takes or what, i have no idea

  • Ruling out that the dilly pop did not have a cherry coating. Frostbite does not turn the skin red, but more like a deep ugly blue green color. Could she have had an allergic reaction? I would check out with her doctor to make sure just what it in. Good Luck.

  • yea it didnt have a cherry coating,and i i didnt figure that it was frostbite because i looked that up and saw what kind of color it is ,im just wondering what and why it happened its frustrating

  • Hmm, not sure. My daughter gets red marks on the sides of her mouth when she eats ranch dressing, which i now know is an allergic reaction, but it goes away within a half hour or so. I hope you get some answers Ü

  • Well it could be an allergic reaction or could it possibly be hand, foot, and mouth? That would have white bumps in the mouth.
