what do u tell your son when he ask Why do I have to go to school?

he does not like to leave me and cries when i drop him off. i use to walk him in but since he started crying when i would leave i just drop him off in front so teachers can walk him in he is always asking why does he have to go to school once hes in class he stops crying and has fun

  • At age 3 and 4, there is not absolute reason for a child to go to school beyond socialization.

  • show him a homeless gentleman, and tell him that is what could happen if you dont

  • wow thanks for the answers but i think at age 4 he is still too young to understand the concept of being homeless and i woudnt want to scare him

  • Why do you feel the need to explain to a child? He's just a little guy, he trusts his mother. There's nothing wrong with simply telling him "because it's time to go to school", give him a hug and a kiss, and send him on his way. Making it into a big explanation every time he asks has no purpose.
