How soon will my doctor be able to tell the gender of my baby?

  • somtimes 14-16 wks, though 18-20wks is more accurate.

  • Generally its about 20 weeks...sometimes they can tell earlier and sometimes a baby is shy.

  • it really depends on when the doctor feels he/she would rather do it.. i heard of people finding out the sex when they were 16 weeks but the doctor i went to didnt want to tell me until i was 20 weeks

  • They can tell as early as 16 weeks. But most docs wait until the 20 week mark.
